Issues Fixed in Service Pack 12 (build 4112)

  • In certain requests, the task options for requests was not shown. This issue has been fixed.
  • CPU usage shot to 100 % when Requests view was clicked. This has been fixed.
  • During workstation scanning, some software were identified to be installed multiple times. Due to this when a software asset is associated to a workstation, more than one asset instance would be associated to the workstation. This has been fixed.
  • In certain cases, though reply has been sent to requester, reply icon was not shown in request list view. This issue has been fixed.
  • Provision to change the mode, requester name, and created date of a request on editing a request has been provided.
  • Rendering of the Request list view page was not complete (when description of request is NULL). This issue has been fixed.
  • When a reply is sent to requester from a thread, the content of the parent request was being sent instead of the content of the latest child. Now this is fixed to include the content of the latest threaded request.

Bug fixes in SP 10 (Build 4109)

  • Fix included to handle the issue of requests not getting threaded properly in certain mail client settings. Now threading requests uses the mail subject also as a parameter.
  • The issue of SLA violations not being properly escalated has been fixed.
  • SLAs with multiple criteria does not set the due by time of requests properly. This has been fixed.
  • Workstations are duplicated during scanning. This issue has been fixed.
  • When a requester is deleted the ownership for asset and workstation was retained. Now the assets and workstations assigned to a removed requester will become unassigned.
  • Purchase calculations in Purchase order was not properly rounded off. This issue has been fixed.
  • The out of memory exception that was thrown when trying to view or scan workstations has been fixed.
  • Synchronizing ServiceDesk Plus with Active Directory cleared the SMS mail id field of technician. This has been fixed.
  • Issue of request history not being added when request is closed has been fixed.
  • Expiry date field set while adding or updating asset does not take effect. This issue has been fixed.
  • Due date field of request was displayed as a numeric value in PDF reports. This has been fixed.
  • E-mails are not converted into requests in a rare case of parsing e-mails when a header (messageid) is not properly set in the received mails. This issue has been fixed.

Features & Bug fixes in SP 9 (Build 4108)

  • The login name in ServiceDesk Plus has been made case-insensitive.
  • The data migration issue when upgrading from 4106 to 4107 build version has been resolved.
  • Searching of assets can now be done using the bar code values.
  • The pie/bar chart in the purchase reports were not showing the correct values. This has been fixed.
  • When restoring data, the request formatting was being lost. This issue has been fixed.
  • When the attachments to an email request was not processed, then the mail fetching used to stop. This issue has been fixed.
  • The tech support link and the website link that links to ServiceDesk Plus technical support page and website respectively, available in the login page, has been removed.

Features & Bug fixes in SP 8 (Build 4107)

  • Authenticate user login through Active Directory. (Note : Currently AD authentication is case sensitive)
  • Reports on purchases made.
  • Threading of Requests - Including the request related conversations under the same request ID. (Note for current users : The request history which was available in the separate 'Replies' tab is now part of the request conversation details itself)
  • Mouse hover for requests containing quote " makes the request list view disaligned. This issue has been fixed.
  • In certain cases, while picking up requests, all the open requests get assigned instead of just the selected ones. This has been fixed.
  • HTML requests were creating alignment issues in the list view, which has been fixed.
  • The presence of the FreeAnswers.net link in the solutions page has been made configurable.
  • Scan Service Tag numbers for computers.
  • Ennumerate the list of computers from Active Directory during a domain scan.
  • Currency value changed in Purchase Default Values was not getting reflected in the New Asset form. This has been fixed.
  • When an owner is assigned to a workstation immediately after adding the workstation manually, a duplicate copy of the workstation was being created. This has been fixed.
  • The presence of \' (single quote) created issue while selecting requester in 'New Request' form. This has been fixed.
  • Workstation audit history is not added during scheduled scanning of workstations. This has been fixed.

Features & Bug fixes in SP 6 (Build 4105)

  • Issue of workstation getting duplicated during domain scan, if the workstation entries in Domain Controller are duplicated, is fixed.
  • The re-scanning of workstations was not updating already scanned workstations for any changes. This has been fixed.
  • The new request form was not being displayed the first time the link http://server:8080/WorkOrder.do was given. This issue has been fixed and the rendering of the new request form will be done without any problems.
  • The issue of failed mail fetching when the To and CC field had the same e-mail ID has been fixed.
  • The Additional Fields that were created in the New Requester form, were not being saved while editing the requester information. This has been fixed.
  • The requester list view and the requester details page now displays the login name of the requester.
  • On expiry of the license, the License Agreement was not displayed. This has been fixed and on expiry of the licese, the License Agreement will be displayed to indicate that the license has expired and needs to be renewed.
  • A forward request option has been provided in the request details page.
  • When the CC field in the Email the requester form was manually edited, the manually added recepient did not receive the mail. This issue has been fixed.
  • When a reply is sent from the ServiceDesk Plus, the subject/tilte of the email is also appended along with the Request ID.
  • The validation of the email ID has been removed from the technician and requester form.
  • In the Asset reports, the matrix reports were displaying only a maximum of ten columns even if there were more items than that. This issue has been fixed.

Bug Fixes

ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus 4.1 release includes the following bug fixes over release 4.0

  • Earlier the login information was provided as a hint in the login screen. This was available permanently. Now the login hint will be available only during the first time login. Once you have logged in to the ServiceDesk Plus application, the login hint will be removed from the login page.
  • In rare cases, some of the overdue requests were missing. This issue has been fixed.
  • When the resolution time in an SLA was set in terms of number of days, the Due By Time calculated for a request was not accurate. This has been fixed. The Due By Time will be calculated properly even if the resolution time of the SLA is in number of days.
  • When a default technician has been assigned for a request category, the SMS notification was not being sent for the new requests created under those categories. This issue has been fixed.When searching for a particular request, in the search results view, there was a problem in navigating to the later pages. Now, you can navigate beyond the first page to look for the exact request that you need.
  • On rare cases, while logging in to ServiceDesk Plus, there was a j_security_check error that was encountered. Now, the error has been fixed.
  • In the Inventory home, clicking on the Not Assigned workstations in the Workstation graph displayed all the workstation scanned. This issue has been fixed.
