  1. Do we need to pay for renewals of FREE license for Standard Edition?

    Free licenses of Standard Edition can be renewed every year free of cost.

  2. Once I register, when will I receive the free license?

    Once you submit your details into the free license form, you will be lead to the link from where you can download the license file. We will also send the license file to your registered email address.

  3. How long will it take to receive the license?

    License is generated instantaneously after filling the form below

  4. How to request for additional licenses?

    Additional licenses can be requested through sales@manageengine.com.

  5. Is 100 tech agents the maximum you can request in the free edition?

    We have not limited the tech agent抯 logins to 100. The tech agents required can be increased anytime on request and we will send you the appropriate license based on your organization needs.

  6. What kind of support do you provide for free users of Standard edition?

    Free users of Standard Edition will be eligible for support through ServiceDesk Plus forums/community. However, telephonic/email and web-based support is provided at an additional cost through AMS.

  7. How much is the charge for AMS? What kind of support is provided for the paid AMS customers?

    The cost for Annual maintenance and Support (AMS) is $30/tech agent per year. Paid AMS users are entitled to get support through Telephonic/Email, community/forums and web based support.

  8. As a Free license user, (not paid for AMS) am I entitled to upgrade to future service packs? What are the limitations?

    Free edition users can enjoy fully-functional Standard Edition free forever with no limitation on technicians/agents. They can also get free product updates, service packs, and hotfixes for a lifetime all for free.

  9. I am using a 20 tech agent license for Standard Edition. Do I need to buy AMS for all 20 tech agents if I need full support?

    Yes. Since support is 30$ per tech agent for an year you would need to buy AMS for number of tech agents bought. Here in this case, you need buy full AMS support for all 20 tech agents (20*$30).

  10. Is there any add-ons available for the Free Edition?

    Yes. We do have Change management and Project Management as add-ons. These are available at an additional cost. Contact sales@manageengine.com to upgrade your free Standard edition with these add-ons.

 

Instructions to apply the license:

  • Save your license to your desired location in your computer
  • Ensure that ServiceDesk Plus is running. Log in with these details - Username: Administrator | Password: Administrator
  • Click on the "License" link provided on the top right corner
  • In the pop-up that emerges, under "Enter License File", provide the path where you have stored the license file. Click the "Upgrade" button
  • A message stating "License upgraded successfully" will appear at the bottom along with the details of the license on the top
  • Voila! You can now enjoy your fully-functional Standard Edition free forever with no limitation on technicians/agents. Get Free product updates for a lifetime at no cost. You can get support through Email/Forums. For telephonic and/or web-based support, you will need to purchase it separately at an additional cost
