Issues fixed in 7022 :

  • SD-9310, SD-13285 - Scheduled Asset scan causing ServiceDesk to become unresponsive, and causes OutOfMemory error.
  • SD-13319 - While Importing Users from ActiveDirectory, users will be updated based on their login name and domain name. And if this do not matches, users will be updated based on the email address. If the above two cases do not matches, users will be added as a new user. And now we will check for the login name alone and update the user. Based on the above condition, user with login name and domain null will be updated.
  • SD-13317 - After Upgrading to 7021, "Keep me signed in" option while login is not working.
  • SD-13318 - After upgrading to 7021, We want the user to clear the browser cache to reflect the changes done in the login page for multi domain. With out clearing the browser cache, user not able to login.
  • SD-13227 - After upgrading to 7021, if display language is changed to any non-english in Self Service Portal Settings and AD (ActiveDirectory) is enabled, unable to login through Local Authentication.
  • SD-13260 - Null Pointer Exception while sending contract notifications like Email the Owner, Email the vendor with attachments.
  • SD-13398 - Monthly PreventiveMaintanence PM tasks which was created before 7019 build (which fixes the monthly PM task executed every month) are executed every month.

Issues fixed in 7021 :

  • SD-11947 - Home / Request page goes blank when the below notifications are enabled.
    • Alert group members by Email, when a new request is added to the group.
    • Alert group members by Email, when a request is left unpicked in a group.
    • Now both Notifications are made synchronous.

  • SD-11596 - Contract Expiry Notification is sent as blank mail.
  • SD-10614 - Request Type is included in Custom Report.

Issues fixed in 7020 :

  • SD-11584 - Request notifications sent in Asynchronous mode is reverted to Synchronous mode which fixes issues like
    a. Requests cannot be edited and updated.
    b. Notifications cannot be sent.
    c. Any scheduled task like Preventive Maintenance task, Backup schedule, etc., are not getting executed.
    Impact of the above change is that upon request addition, notifications will be sent from the user thread and hence the operation may looks slow which is further depends upon the number of notifications configured / enabled. Above is a temporary fix, we will bring back the asynchronous notification in our subsequent hotfix.
  • SD-11567 - Null pointer exception occurred while upgrading to 7019.This happens when the custom filter / reports / business rule has, Column Name contains none as criteria.
  • SD-11579 - Unable to navigate to next / previous page on All Expired contracts in list view.
  • SD-11566 - Workorder status change within completed status type Close to Resolved etc., is not properly updated in the history.
  • SD-11580 - Unable to detach all Business Services from Assets.
  • SD-11581 - Unable to associate an asset to multiple resources through Add Connection Relationship.
  • SD-10437 - Unable to add new Business Rule in French and Russian Language.
  • SD-11546 - Incorrect translation for text if resolution time is elapsed then escalate, while creating a new SLA in Brazilian Portuguese Language.

Enhancements in 7019 :

  • Product Type and Product Name can be filtered while creating a New Purchase order.

Issues fixed in 7019 :

  • SD-9621 - Clicking the Home / Request tab, page becomes blank in mssql. ( same as auto close issue ).
  • SD-9208 - Split messages automatically shows as overdue even though there is no due date set. Whenever we use the Split As New Request feature to separate part of a conversation, the split part shows with an overdue flag.
  • SD-9072 - Mandatory Field for request closing do not work with field "Item".
  • SD-9121 - Request Template with a Group Field populated, technicians are not filtered out based on the selected group.
  • SD-9667 - When using single language license file (multi-language false) , in Self Service Portal, there is no option to change the currency Type.

  • SD-9772 - If single-line / multi-line additional fields contains no default value, it is changed to NULL after taking backup and restore the data in MSSQL database.

Issues fixed in 7018 :

  • SD-9229 - Issue with reverse calculation of sales tax rates based on product price when the price is zero in Purchase Order module during migration.

      • Default Billing and Shipping address specified in "Purchase Default Values" will not hold good after migration. To take effect, create new Site from Admin->Sites and specify the address. Choose this site in the "Purchase Default Value" for Billing Address and Shipping Address and save the settings.
  • Support for sending notification to group of people upon request closure.
  • Earlier when Active directory auth is enabled, a valid requester who is not yet imported in SDP, tries to log into application using his AD credentials will create a new user in the application. So you cannot restrict a valid user in AD from logging into ServiceDeskPlus. Now a configuration is added (Admin -> Self Service Portal Settings), where this dynamic user addition can be restricted. By default login option is enabled.
  • Earlier when a non-existing user emails ServiceDeskPlus, a new requester will be added with login and password as email itself. By this spam emails will also create users with login. Now a configurable option is provided (Admin -> Self Service Portal Settings) to enable whether login need to be provided for non-existing users (sending emails). By this still requester will be created, but when the settings is disabled, login will not be provided for the requester.
  • In Request details page, the forwarded emails will be shown in the conversation section by default. Previously the forwarded emails can be viewed only by clicking the "View All conversation" link.
  • In Backup Schedule, upon specifying the backup location and save, there will be a check for the existence of the backup directory specified and the write permission before saving the backup schedule.

Issues fixed in 7016 :

  • SD-8696 - Issue in few customer environments, where same mails are fetched twice.
  • SD-8386 - Issue in editing the requester for a request and changing the associated assets for the requester.

Issues fixed in 7014 :

  • Issue in viewing the request details by requester if any of the user defined field is masked for the requester in the "request form customizer".

  • Associated Assest name created for the received items from a purchase order refers to purchaseorderid, which is meaningless and now it uses the customPoID in the asset name.
  • SubCategory and Item will be available as dynamic variables in the customize template section of Request and Change notification rules.

  • 'Location' field not available when adding/editing Workstation has been fixed.
  • If department with same name exists (across different sites), only one of the department will be shown when associating department to a user has been fixed.
  • When a dropdown field in request is edited, asset associated to that request gets reset to empty has been fixed .
  • Requester name has been set as non editable in request details page. For now other requester attributes (email, contact no) can be edited.
  • Start day of the month March 2008 shown wrong in the Forward schedule of Change calendar has been fixed.
  • Change password tab shown in the Personalize page even when AD authentication is enabled has been fixed.

New features in 7005 :

  • Request Type values can be managed using the configuration wizard.

Issues fixed in 7005 :

  • When Importing users from Active Directory the display name was getting replaced by login name is fixed
  • Unable to view the additional columns (mobile) for existing fields in requester and technician list view.
  • Junk characters appear when more that 1 space is present between words in request description.
  • Junk characters coming up in notes when a '\n' character is present. eg. a\sample\note.
  • JS error in Italian language on clicking Edit, Close, Merge, Delete, and Assign Request in request list view.

  • Data is not stored properly in local language (other than english) is fixed.
  • Request approver unable to view file attachments while approving request is fixed

  • Selecting the tasks to be created while creating a template request.
  • Option to close requests only when the associated tasks are closed has been added to Request Closing rules
  • Dynamic addition of user when AD authentication is enabled
  • Requests Inbound graph in global view will also show the completed requests during that time

Issues fixed in 7002 :

  • Setting Description as mandatory while closing a request is not working
  • Scanning after assigning of workstations sets the state back to 'In Store'
  • Item list for a subcategory shows only 10 rows even if there are more
  • Selection of technician notification for task assign in notification rules is not maintained.
  • Urgency, Priority visible in the admin configurations for SDP Standard edition.
  • Categories are not listed in alpha order.
  • Editing a workstation when running is MSSQL throws exception
  • CSV imports of requesters does not fetch the login name
  • SDP server not starting when installed as Standard Edition - Trial in linux

  • Change Tab not displayed in Non-English OS.
  • Requester's assets not populated in the New Request form when selected through Search User option.
  • Request fields are compressed in 'New Request' form in self-service portal.
  • Configuring 'Single Sign On' without importing users throws a blank screen.
  • When creating a worklog for a change, modifying the executed time from the current time is not saving the information.
  • Doing a Reply from a conversation does not show the details in the request page.
  • Multiple Requests getting generated when Requester clicks AddRequest multiple times is avoided

Known Issues & Limitations :

  • "Pass Through" Authentication will work only on two way trusted domains.

  • Windows License Key will not be fetched for windows vista machines.
  • Survey and Audit reports will not work with MSSQL.
  • In Firefox, assets cannot be selected while creating or updating a request.
