How to add UCS

Add a UCS in CI Manager Plus to monitor. The procedure is given below:

In the CI Manager Plus UI,

• Select Settings > Discovery > Add UCS menu. Add UCS page opens

In the Add UCS page,

1. Enter the device name or IP address in the Device Name/IP Address field
2. Enter the net mask value in the Netmask field
3. Use the Add Credetial link to provide the access credentials of the UCS and its components
4. Select the UCS and its components as available in the tree structure
5. Click Add Device to complete adding device action

The configured device will added and it will be displayed in the Credetial

In the Add Credential page,

1. Select UCS or VMware as the Credential Type
2. Enter the name of the credential in the Name field
3. Enter the user name of the new UCS in the UserName field
4. Enter the password of the new UCS in the Password field
5. Select HTTP or HTTPS as the Protocol
6. Enter the port number which will be used by the new UCS in the Port Number field
7. Enter the timeout duration up to which the access to device should be tried in the Timeout (secs) field
8. Click Add button to add the credetials to the list of credentials
