OpUtils - Product Roadmap

Given below are the list of features planned for development:

General

  1. MSSQL support - Support for storing the data in MSSQL database.
  2. Option to run FireBird database on a computer other than where OpUtils is installed.
  3. Enhanced User Access Control - Ability to add users with module-level/tool-level access privileges
  4. Global Search option on the Home page
  5. Ability to customize the home page dashboard
  6. Support for SSH v2
  7. Ability to edit the device types with unknown category.

Switch Port Mapper

  1. Ability to configure alerts at the group-level.
  2. Provision to compare port history between any two scans.
  3. Option to alert via email when the interface speed changes.
  4. Ability to assign VLAN Membership for a port.

IP Address Manager

  1. Support to manage IPv6 Addresses
  2. Ability to configure alerts at a Tree Node-level
  3. Ability to integrate with DHCP Server
  4. Ability to update the DNS name of an IP in the DNS Server from the IPAM tool
  5. Ability to discover subnets from specific router interfaces like E0 or E1
  6. Provision to approve multiple subnets at once
  7. Fetch the user name of an IP Address from the Active Directory and show them as the AD user for that computer - In Progress.
  8. Option to exclude specific IP Addresses within a subnet from being scanned.
  9. Provision to add additional OID's for SNMP polling. For example, you should be able to create a custom column and specify a SNMP OID. The IPAM tool should retrieve the value for this custom column from the specified OID.
  10. The Available IP Address report shoule have edit and history options to view or edit the information.
  11. Ability to split subnets and move them as a separate node in the Tree.

Rogue Detection

  1. Ability to maintain history the MAC Addresses that are marked as Guest. For example, if I mark a MAC Address and guest once, the system should automatically mark the device as guest when it gets rediscovered later.
  2. Ability to maintain the history of the devices that are marked as Rogue to determine the switch and port that it was previously connected.
  3. Rouge Device Report for the Past 24 hours - This will list all the rogue devices that was connected to the network in the past 24 hours.
