How ServiceDesk Plus integration works?

This document will explain you on the data trasnfered between Desktop Cental and ServiceDesk Plus.

Data from Desktop Central will get posted to ServiceDesk Plus as per the table mentioned below:

Inventory Details :

Desktop Central will fetch the inventory details during the following scenarios:

  1. System Start Up
  2. User Logon
  3. After manual or scheduled scan
  4. When a new Software Application is installed/Uninstalled
  5. During the 90 minutes refresh cycle

Create Help Desk Tickets from Desktop Central Agent Tray Icon

Whenever a help desk ticket is being created using Desktop Central tray icon, the data gets updated in the ServiceDesk Plus immediately.

Remote Desktop Session's Work log

When a remote session is initiated from Desktop Central with a ServiceDesk Plus ticket ID, then the remote sessions work log will be updated in the ServiceDesk Plus ticket. The log would specify the details of the remote session like when was the session initiated and when the session ended etc,.

Software Packages created in Desktop Central

Desktop Central's software packages are synchronized with the ServiceDesk Plus server once in a day.

Software Deployment status update

When a software configuration is deployed from ServiceDesk Plus, the status of the configuration will be updated to the Desktop Central server. Desktop Central server will post the configuration status once in every 5 minutes to ServiceDesk Plus server.

User Created in ServiceDesk Plus with Desktop Central Login Privilege

Whenever a user is created in ServiceDesk Plus, with the login privilege for Desktop Central, then the User details gets updated in Desktop Central immediately. A new user will be created in Desktop Central based on the availability of User's license limit.
