Problem

You have installed Desktop Central on a virtual machine and you find 100% CPU usage in the task manager.

Cause

This could happen if mysql-nt.exe causes 100% CPU usage.

Resolution

Go to task manager and identify if mysql-nt.exe. consumes 100% of the CPU utilization. Follow the steps mentioned to resolve this issue:

  1. Stop Desktop Central Server
  2. Open task manager and verify if mysql-nt.exe process related to Desktop Central is not active. You can refer to the Image Path Name against the corresponding process to confirm that the process is related to Desktop Central.
  3. Clear the contents in the MYSQL temp folder (<installed directory>/mysql/data/temp)
  4. Restart Desktop Central Server.

You can see that mysql-nt.exe does not consume 100% CPU utilization.
