Configure a meaningful threshold. In this demo, we will configure OpManager to raise an alarm if the utilization value exceeds 70%.

1. Configure the interval at which the partition must be monitored.

2. In the Threshold Alert field, select the match condition as 'greater than' (>) and specify the value as 70.

3. Configure the rearm value as 55.

4. You have the option to configure for alarm generation if the threshold exceeds the specified number of times.

5. Configure the message that want to see as the alarm message. Example: Threshold violated.

6. Select the alarm severity. Example: Attention

Note: The rearm value is used to prevent assigning of same status to a resource every time it is polled. If a resource is assigned Attention state as it has crossed the defined threshold value, it is assigned a Clear state only if it goes below the Attention rearm value in the subsequent polls.
