iTunes Store ID cannot be validated


End user is trying to install apps that are distributed using Mobile Device Manager Plus and the app installation fails with the error message "iTunes Store ID cannot be validated"


You might get this error message if the system administrator distributes an app, which belongs to a different country in the App Store. When the end user tries to install the app, an error message is displayed "Apple ID cannot be validated".


You can install the distributed app by changing the Apple ID to another country in the end user's mobile device. You can ask the end user to follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Go to Settings on the manage mobile device.
  2. Click iTunes & App Stores.
  3. Select the existing Apple ID, you can see an option to View / iForgot / Signout/ Cancel the Apple ID.
  4. Click View Apple ID.
  5. Enter the password when prompted.
  6. You will see the option where you can change the Country/Region. Identify to which country should the Apple ID be modified in order to install the specific app.
  7. Touch the Store button to find the list of countries and touch Done to save the changes.

You have successfully changed the country for your Apple ID. You will now be able to install the app based on the country that you have selected.
